Where Gardeners Grow
Welcome and we hope you visit often!
We are very proud to able to invite you to visit our Butterfly Garden. The garden is located behind the Greensburg Garden and Civic Center at the Garden House.
The garden is a new garden planted in July of 2015. The design is comprised of three sections.
The far section of the garden has a beautiful natural stone water fall. There is a path that divides this area of the garden. On the other side of the path are plantings of both host and nectar plants.
The next area in the garden will be a small meadow type garden. This garden will act as a prairie of wildflowers and grasses. It is a garden planted from seed. This portion of the garden will be planted late fall of 2015.
The smaller portion of the garden is planted with two Butterfly bushes and ring of roses that surround a sundial.
This garden is planting to remind our members of our benefactor. It is with a generous donation from a gardener and butterfly enthusiast that we are able to create this butterfly habitat and platform for learning about these wonderful winged creatures.
